Oakland County parish and school fulfill 12-year project through Changing Lives Together

Rev. Lawrence Delonnay has been pastor of Our Lady of the Lakes in Waterford for 18 years, the last 12 involving a steadily successful effort to prioritize and fulfill improvements to the church and school campus. The parish began a strategic planning effort in 2000 which, with updates along the way, has largely been achieved with Changing Lives Together providing the opportunity to cross the finish line.

The pastor of Our Lady of Albanians in Southfield for the last 14 years, Rev. Nue Gjergji fulfills an annual obligation to the faithful in his parish in which he visits hundreds of parish families and blesses their homes. Father Gjergji tries to ensure the entire household is present when he makes his parishioner home visits and blessings between Advent and Easter.

Campaign surpasses $50 million in pledges

As 67 more parishes prepare to launch their Changing Lives Together campaigns this summer, the archdiocesan-wide campaign has received more than $50 million in pledges from generous parishioners in just over a year of parish fundraising efforts. Over 35,000 pledges have been received from parishioners at 124 parishes.
