Safe in His Mother’s Arms

Ethan Morgan, almost two years old, stopped to give the Blessed Virgin Mary a hug on June 23 while exploring the parish grounds at St. Daniel Parish in Clarkston. Ethan was taking a break during a first Communion Mass at St. Daniel, said his godmother, Joan Candea, when he found the statue of Our Lady. “He stopped to hug the Blessed Mother, and it appears she is kissing the top of his head,” said Candea. “Profound and moving to say the least.” More than 400 parish households at St. Daniel have pledged over $515,000 to the Changing Lives Together campaign at the Oakland County Parish, which started an ongoing prayer team through the initiative.
